We made a play about how the Matariki whetū came to be. Our play is about Papatūānuku and Ranginui living close together until their children pushed them apart. Please watch our play to find out what happens!
Te mutunga mai o te pai -Ultimately awesome! Thank you very much for sharing the story of Matariki, I especially enjoyed hearing how to pronounce the names as this is an area I am working on. I know where the Southern Cross is in the night sky, where do I look to see Matariki at the moment?
Tēnā koe Mark, thank you for watching our video, and you are welcome. Sorry we didn't get to answer your question in time. Did you see the Matariki stars? Ka kite anō. :-) W e hope you have a good holiday!
Kia ora Rūma Whā, thank you for your reply. I had a few days off and was sitting looking at the stars however I still cannot find Matariki. Did you know when you reply to my comment I get a notification so I can see what you have said. I only get the notification if you reply to my comment not add it as a new comment.
