On Rāapa 30th Haratua, i haere mātou ki a Kaiapoi Pā. We went to visit a special place called the Kaiapoi Pā. Matua Corban took us on a tour and told us all about what happened here. Whaea Christine had told us all about the pakanga (battle) too. We have been learning all about pā and will be using all our knowledge to create our own pā later in the term. Here are some pikitia of our haerenga.
I had a great time with all the tamariki at the Pā - he tino kaha, he tino koi ngā tamariki katoa!
ReplyDeleteHe pai ki ahau that in the photo all o the tamariki were being respectful when Matua Corban was having a kōrero with us. He was very good at Kōrero Māori, some people couldn't understand him. I loved going for a haerenga with all of the tamariki in the biingual unit. I had a great time there with them and Matua Corban. Next time we go on a haerenga remember to check the weather before go, otherwise I tino pukurere! from shaun.
