ANZAC Field of Remembrance

Today we created a Field of Remembrance next to our Hornby War Memorial. This is in memory of all the brave soldiers who died in the war. We listened to 'The Last Post' and the poem 'In Flanders Fields.'

Kia ora! I am Mrs McKenzie and I teach at Whaia Rovena's old school!
How exciting that you have your blog now. I hope we can be blogging buddies with you.

We have created a Field Of Remembrance at our school too, and we will have a ceremony tomorrow, Friday. Then on Saturday we will go and march with the school in the community ANZAC Day parade.
We think it is important to remember the soldiers who helped our country.

Will you go to a community parade on Anzac Day?
