Wiki o te Reo Māori!

For Te Wiki o te Reo Māori we made special te Ao Māori taonga each day of the week. 

On Rāhina we made a pukapuka. 
On Rātu we made tāhei (necklaces). 
On Rāapa we made putiputi and ika from harakeke. 
On Rāpare we made magic paper to draw pikitia Māori. 
On Rāmere we made manu tukutuku (kites).

In tuhituhi we watched a video about a boy called Tony going on some adventures with his Grandpa. We pretended to be Tony and wrote a letter to our best friend telling them about our adventures. We used 'wow' words in our writing.

WALT (Kei te ako mātou ki te): ... tell the time in reo Māori and reo Pākehā. In pāngarau we've been learning how read hour time. We can do this in English and in Māori! We like playing 'He aha te taima, Mr Wuruhi?' - What's the time, Mr Wolf?
